If you are an experienced public health professional seeking to leverage your wealth of expertise into a successful entrepreneurial venture, this book is for you!
Readers will gain insights into the essentials of public health entrepreneurship and walk away with practical skills needed to start, grow, and scale a successful public health consultancy.
This book is woven with compelling narratives and guided by the collective experiences of seasoned public health entrepreneurs who have mastered the art of making impact and income.
Spearheaded by the visionary author, Quisha Umemba, (The PublicHealthPreneur™), the goal of this book is simple; to expose public health professionals to the opportunities that exist as a "PublicHealthPreneur" and to inspire and empower readers to embark on their own entrepreneurial journey making a lasting impact on the well-being of individuals, communities and organizations.
Quisha Umemba is from Dallas, Texas (by way of North Little Rock, Arkansas). She graduated from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences with a master’s in public health and is a bachelor’s prepared Registered Nurse. As a nurse and public health practitioner, Quisha quickly became aware of the fact that she possessed a unique, multifaceted, blended expertise that included a 360-degree view of the healthcare and public health landscape. After working in local, state, and federal governments and incorporating some lessons learned from her years as a nurse, Quisha decided to launch into entrepreneurship as a Public Health consultant.
To this day, she is most proud of her transition from the care of individuals to the care of communities. An advocate for health equity, her life's mission is to empower, educate, and transform the lives of others. Quisha wants to share her journey to inspire women in nursing to consider careers that exist beyond the beside.
